The most important part:

We learned a ton.

Throughout the course of this project, we learned a lot about the design process and about what it takes to work within the constraints of the design intentions of museum curators.

One of our biggest takeaways was that it is always important to revisit the problem and goal. We originally set out to create a fully-coded application through the use of React Native. As we explored this, we realized that we most likely not be able to complete what we wanted to in the amount of time that they had. But upon revisiting the problem and goal we realized that we could demonstrate our idea with a proof of concept. This led us to create a semi-functional prototype through the use of Sketch and Invision.

We learned that when it comes to museum visits, it is important to maintain the original experience to not cloud the pristineness of a typical visit to a museum. When creating their project we had to focus on solely enhancing this experience, not changing it. Museum curators can be very particular about the design of their museums so it is vital to preserve their original intention.

This project has been extremely beneficial to both of us and has taught us about what it takes to work on a project collaboratively, and how to develop a product in general.
